Android for your Halloween?

31 October 2010

Andrew Bell from the Creatures in my Head had a special design of Android for Halloween.

The "Power Vampire" special window box edition will be available for sale on shop.deadzebra.com for USD $10 on Halloween day, October 31st, at 2pm EST / 11am PST and shipping out shortly thereafter. It is limited to 2 per household.

Personally I didn't find this Android series in Singapore but as Android user, I'm digging this!

For those who can't get this Android, here something for a fun desktop wallpaper featuring Android themed vampires for you.

Happy Halloween.

Ichigo Half face Hollow or Vizard Mask from Bleach

There are number of things I love about Bleach and the Hollow mask was one of them. If I would pick the best looking hollow mask, it got to be Ichigo's. For Ichigo's hollow mask, there were a half face and a full face version. Personally I love them both but I only came across the half face Hollow mask and here it is.

I came across this mask online and since it was affordable, I decide to buy it off.
It was affordable due to the thin plastic mold, coloring and some string to put it on.

When it arrived, I was rather disappointed that they expose the rivet and it doesn't fit on me nicely. They could easily painted the rivet white.

Secondly, it very hard to get the mask in place.

Finally this mask only available in one size and it is wat too big for me since I have a small face.

See, I have to use a hand to get it in place.

I have to say these mask are good for Halloween tho. LOL. Happy Halloween.

Gundam Unicorn 2 Screening & Preview

30 October 2010

I really had a good time today for Gundam Unicorn episode 2 screening in Singapore.I am still thinking am I dreaming of what happened today. I was all excited to wake up this morning to continue where I left off in Gundam Unicorn. Being the second time, I kinda know what to expect but the experience just get better.

This time round the fans are more hyped up. I was there 45 minutes before the screening but there were already many who are earlier than me.The ticket collection was organized and speedy.

We were given a original booklet of Gundam Unicorn booklet and a survey form which will be used as lucky draw later. Yes there was a Lucky draw after the show! It was a pleasant surprise and a welcome one. Here are the prizes which include 5 x HGUC, 1 x MG Sinanja, 2x  Gundam Unicorn episode 2 Bluray discs plus poster and a limited Edition HGUC Unicorn Gundam Destroy mode.

Everyone was excited waiting for the show to begin.

This episode has a good pace picking up where it left off and alas the characters are more properly developed with the appearance of Char...or so he said he is a vessel without acknowledging it or denying. However he pilot well and the face-off with Sinanju and Unicorn was quite an exciting one. I was so engrossed with the story and before I know it, it was over.

Shortly after the credit row, the lucky draw commence and many walk away with those great prizes

My friend zh3us who got himself the Bluray of Gundam Unicorn episode 2. Lucky fella.

From the responses gather from the ground, it seems that this time round of Gundam Unicorn screening was better than the last time and some even commented it is better than the Gundam 00 movie in Singapore. Then again the Gundam 00 was not done by the same group of organizers.

Things get way better when we head down to BHG department store to check out the preview of coming Gundam Model kit. It was crowded with many Gunpla fans!

* see the Gunpla fans snapping away?

It make sense since the highlight of the day is PG Strike Gundam Freedom.

This piece just made his first appearance in Japan a few weeks ago and it had came to Singapore. When I seen it with my own eyes, it is truly a magnificent piece.

Even the inner frame are filled with details.

For Zeon fans, there were display of the upcoming model such as the 1/48 Char's Zaku II

the RG MS-06S Zaku II

and the HGUC Gouf Custom coming in a month time.

There were also a Prototype kit of Gundam X

More of it's details were explained.

There were other kit display such as MG ReZEL which just released,

HGUC Sinanju which also just released and it is a hot selling kit...

MG Sinanju

and the coming MG 00 Quanta.

but what drove many Gunpla fan crazy was the 30% discount on all regular items!

Regardless it's HG

or MG or above.

All 30% discount! Even sangokuden at BHG that day.

I would like to thank the organiser, Bandai Singapore, Shengtai and BHG for making this possible for Gundam fans. It was like a dream come true.

* That's how I felt, still dreaming of Sinanju. :P

Retro-Action DC Super Heroes in Singapore!

29 October 2010

Maybe this maybe old news to some but I happened to see these finally on sale in Singapore retail! It's Retro-Action DC Super Heroes from Mattel!

*Batman the vintage style in packaging too!

I remember one of my cousin having a Superman of this scale in my childhood. The costume were made of real cloth and can do quite a number of decent pose.

In this series, it is for DC 75 Comic edition with Two-face, Batman, Aquaman and Black Manta. Personally I dig for Batman.

The pricing for these figurine was tagged at SGD $34.90 on retail. I guess many will keep these Mint in Card. Talking about card, there are some holes at the bottom of the clear plastic card for ventilation I guess. If you are into vintage design, this figures should be your must have in your list.

ULTRA-ACT Ultraman Belial Review

24 October 2010

Every Heroes has a Nemesis and in recent year Ultraman series had a nemesis similar to their own kind (What take them so long to create one so cool?). Meet Ultraman Belial  ウルトラマンベリアル.

Belial first appear in Mega Monster Battle: Ultra Galaxy Legend The Movie. I decided to pick up Belial for an obvious reason... Evil Ultraman which is first of it's kind. Time to open the Toy!

Belial comes with a reasonable accessories including claws, double end mace-like-weapon and some special effect of the weapon.

Belial remind me very much of Darth Maul in terms of body color which is tattoos looking. While the body shape remind me Evangelion Type 01.

Just look at the texture of his skin. Really loving it.

Belial head has the ability to move up and down.

and hr can have an open mouth to show his vicious teeth as if he was doing an evil smile.

* Mugshot of Belial for his passport. :P

Like all Ultraman, he too has a "color timer" which doesn't affect much of his movement since he is not on earth.

This Ultraman is armed with his faithful weapon, Giga Battlenizer. It may appear to be short like a single hand weapon.

but it can extend to a double hand weapon at will. Isn't that cool? *Clarification, the toy cannot be extended but it give both short and long handle for you to change.

Again I see a another similarity with Darth Maul in Starwars.

If that is not cool enough for you, this toy comes with some of the special effect of his weapon Giga Battlenize. Here's Belial Shot!

and Belial Death Scythe. Look lethal ha? Ultraman better watch out!

Although his weapon is cool, personally I like his claw which look more wicked to rip his enemies (Ultraman) into pieces.

Here's a summarized introduction of Belial which I think after watching I do not need to convince you further how awesome villain he was.

At the end of the movie, Belial was defeated but he will return as the dark emperor in the coming movie with a wicked scar on his face. That version of Ultra-Act Kaizer Berial will be out at the end January 2011.

Wait.. I think Belial spotted something...

Who can it be? To be continue?
